How do I get started as a ByRyde driver?

Download the ByRyde Driver app, create an account with your email, and complete the onboarding process. You'll need a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, auto insurance, and to pass a background check. Once approved, you can go online and start accepting ride requests immediately.

How and when do I get paid?

ByRyde processes weekly payouts every Monday directly to your linked bank account at no charge. You can also use Instant Pay to cash out your available earnings at any time for a small 1.5% fee via Stripe Connect. Tips are always 100% yours and included in your payout.

What percentage does ByRyde take?

Drivers receive 70% of every fare, and 100% of tips. ByRyde's 30% platform fee covers insurance, payment processing, customer support, and platform maintenance. There are no hidden fees or weekly rental charges.

How does the tier rewards system work?

ByRyde has four tier levels: Bronze (0-49 rides), Silver (50-99 rides), Gold (100-199 rides), and Platinum (200+ rides). Higher tiers unlock benefits like priority ride matching, fare bonuses (up to 15%), seeing trip details upfront, priority airport queues, and dedicated support. Tiers reset quarterly.

How does surge pricing work?

When rider demand exceeds driver supply in an area, surge pricing automatically activates with multipliers shown on your heat map. The AI Demand Forecasting feature predicts when and where surges will occur, helping you position yourself strategically. Surge bonuses stack with other incentives.

What safety features does ByRyde offer?

ByRyde includes crash detection with automatic emergency alerts, a Safety Hub with one-tap SOS, trip sharing with trusted contacts, PIN verification for rider identity, Record My Ride dash cam functionality, fraud protection alerts, and fatigue monitoring with break reminders.

Can I use ByRyde with an electric vehicle?

Yes! ByRyde has dedicated EV integration including battery level monitoring, nearby charging station finder with real-time availability and pricing, range estimation, and carbon footprint tracking. Tesla vehicles get additional direct integration features.

How do I track mileage for taxes?

ByRyde automatically tracks all your driving miles using GPS while you're online. The Mileage Tracker calculates IRS-compliant deductions at the current rate, categorizes business vs. personal miles, and lets you export a detailed report for your tax preparer with one tap.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time from the app: go to Settings, then Account, then "Delete Account". All personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days per our privacy policy. Any pending earnings will be paid out before deletion.
